Description

This solution provides only the PCL.6 driver without an installer. To install the print driver use the Add Printer Wizard. Supports 32 bit operating systems only.

System Requirements:

The following are compatible system requirements for Windows:

• CD-ROM or DVD drive, or Internet connection
• Dedicated universal serial bus (USB 1.1 or 2.0) connectivity port, or network connection
• 400 MB of available hard-disk space

Installation Instructions:

• Windows XP
1. Close all programs.
2. Click Start, select Settings, select Control Panel, and then select Printers.
3. Click Add (a) printer.
4. Answer the questions in the Add Printer Wizard until the screen that shows the printer manufacturer list displays.
5. Click Have Disk.
6. Browse to the print driver location using one of the following options:
7. CD: Browse to the root of the printer CD.
8. Internet download: Browse to the folder where the Web files were downloaded and decompressed.
9. Select the appropriate INF file.

12. Only 32-bit operating system supported, use the hp*c.inf file.
13. Click Open, and then click OK.
14. Select the appropriate printer.
15. Follow the remaining on-screen instructions to complete the printer installation.

1. Close all programs.
2. Click the Windows icon in the lower-left corner of the desktop, and then select Devices and Printers.
3. Click Add (a) printer.
4. Select Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.
5. Click The printer that I want isn't listed.
6. Click Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname.
7. Click Next.
8. For Device Type, select TCP/IP Device.
9. Type the Hostname or IP address for the printer. See the user guide to obtain the Hostname or IP address.
10. Clear the check box for Query the printer and automatically select the driver to use.
11. Click Next.
12. Click Have Disk.
13. Browse to the print driver location using one of the following options:
• CD: Browse to the root of the printer CD.
• Internet download: Browse to the folder where the Web files were downloaded and decompressed.
14. Select the appropriate INF file.
